During the ceremony, Santiago Mat\u00edas presented a recognition plaque to Eddy Herrera.\n\nThe plaque, which highlighted his status as an “eminent icon and bastion of excellence in merengue,” was accompanied by a message full of admiration: “Alofoke Media Group grants this recognition to Eddy Herrera, most eminent icon and bastion of excellence in our merengue,” the text on the plaque states.\n\n\n

Thank you for taking Dominican pride high, for taking music high. You deserve this,” said Mat\u00edas, who then embraced the artist.\n\nSantiago Mat\u00edas’ gesture was humbly received by Eddy Herrera, who, in a joking tone, addressed the camera as if he were participating in a reality show, generating laughter among those present. \u201cCamarita, are you there!\u201d exclaimed Herrera, before thanking his audience and the team that has accompanied him throughout his successful career. “35 years of career, 5 years with Wilfrido Vargas, 40 years in total, and the truth is that I feel honored,” pointed out the merengue singer.\n\nFinally, Eddy Herrera addressed the audience again, raising the plaque that the businessman awarded him, highlighting his admiration for Mat\u00edas’ discipline and vision.\n\n“I am very happy for you and your team, you are greatly fruitful and visionary. You are a productive, hardworking guy with a unique talent for generating and creating. It’s you, Dad, along with that whole big team that always accompanies you,” concluded Herrera, closing a night of recognition and celebration for one of the greats of merengue.\n\n\n
