In accordance with current regulations, Ver\u00f3n\u2013Punta Cana complies with the required statutes for its elevation to municipality, so this survey constitutes a decisive step towards a measure considered just, necessary, and long-awaited by the community.<\/p>\n<p>Congresswoman Carmen De La Rosa highlighted the importance of this process for the development of the entire province.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ver\u00f3n\u2013Punta Cana has the conditions, growth, and economic weight necessary to be a municipality. This decision will not only strengthen its management capacity, but will also allow it to respond more efficiently to the needs of a constantly expanding population. As a representative of La Altagracia, I have promoted and will continue to promote everything that benefits our province, because we deserve institutional structures that are up to our development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The legislator also emphasized that elevating the demarcation to a municipality will allow for greater territorial planning, a closer administration, and the optimization of public services, in line with the tourist and economic importance of the area.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission reiterated its commitment to the integral development of La Altagracia, highlighting that Ver\u00f3n\u2013Punta Cana is the main engine of provincial tourism and a national benchmark in investment and economic dynamism.
