from the Estrellas Orientales, and pitcher <strong>Abdiel Mendoza<\/strong>, from the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as, were selected as <strong>MVP of the Week<\/strong> corresponding to the period of <strong>November 19 to 23, 2025<\/strong>, during the fifth presentation of the awards presented by Ron Ozama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You may be interested in<a in his career, while Mendoza achieved the <strong>19th MVP selection for an \u00c1guilas player<\/strong>, the most in the history of these awards since the league took over the selection in the 2022-23 season.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Raimel Tapia Dominates with the Bat<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe outfielder for the Estrellas Orientales was the most outstanding offensive figure of the week, receiving <strong>60 votes<\/strong> from the <strong>111 journalists<\/strong> participating in the election.\n\nTapia batted for &#8220;.458&#8221; (11 hits in 24 at-bats), with &#8220;five RBIs&#8221;, &#8220;15 total bases&#8221;, and an offensive line of:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>OBP:<\/strong> .458<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SLG:<\/strong> .625<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OPS:<\/strong> 1.083<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nIt was also the seventh time a Stars player has received the weekly award since 2022.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other Mendoza shines from the mound<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Panamanian right fielder of the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as received <strong>65 votes<\/strong>, surpassing:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Albert Abreu<\/strong> (Tigres del Licey), 19<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jos\u00e9 Ure\u00f1a<\/strong> (Toros del Este), 8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nMendoza had an impeccable performance: <strong>5.0 innings without allowing hits or runs<\/strong>, with one walk, <strong>four strikeouts<\/strong>, a <strong>WHIP of 0.20<\/strong> and a perfect ERA of <strong>0.00<\/strong> during the evaluated period.\n\nHe is the <strong>third Panamanian<\/strong> to win the award, following in the footsteps of Paolo Espino (2023-24) and Johan Camargo (2022-23).\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Celestino and Gavin Recognized for the Previous Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nIn the ceremony held in the Seventh Heaven of the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, the best of the previous week were also honored:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gilberto Celestino<\/strong> (Toros del Este)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grant Gavin<\/strong> (Leones del Escogido)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nCelestino received his award from Jes\u00fas Mej\u00eda, general manager of the Toros, while Gavin was recognized by the director of the Leones, Jos\u00e9 G\u00f3mez Fr\u00edas.\n\nLIDOM also presented special recognitions to journalists Jos\u00e9 Antonio Mena, Marcos S\u00e1nchez and Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Genao (Moi), as part of the
