Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> President Luis Abinader <\/strong>is currently receiving the Secretary of Defense of the United States,<\/strong> Pete Hegseth<\/strong>, in a meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and expanding joint regional security actions.<\/p>\n\n\nThe visit of the high-ranking US official reaffirms the confidence of “United States” in the progress made by the Dominican Republic, as well as in the coordination mechanisms that both countries have developed to address the increase in drug trafficking in the region.\n\n\n
