<\/p>\n\n\nThe women’s badminton doubles, made up of Nairobi Jim\u00e9nez and Clarissa Confident<\/strong>, won the silver medal, while the women’s softball team conquered the bronze after defeating Bolivia. In sailing, Samuel P\u00e9rez Camacho<\/strong> added another third-place medal in the IQFOIL modality.\n\nWith these results, the Dominican Republic accumulates 14 medals<\/strong> (1 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze), occupying the eighth position<\/strong> of the general medal table.\n\nFor this Friday, the action resumes with the start of the taekwondo tournament in Ayacucho, and the men’s field hockey team will advance to the medal definition round.\n\n\n

WOMEN’S SOFTBALL<\/h2>\n\n\nRD wins bronze by knockout**\n\nThe Dominican team defeated Bolivia 10-0 to take the bronze medal in the women’s softball tournament, in action played at the Andr\u00e9s Avelino C\u00e1ceres Complex.\n\nThe stellar pitcher Eduarda Rocha<\/strong> shone by throwing a no-hitter for four innings, giving two walks and striking out three, to decree the knockout in the fourth inning.\n\nThe Dominican offense connected 13 hits. Among the most outstanding were:\n\n\n

    BADMINTON<\/h2>\n\n\nNairobi and Clarissa secure silver**\n\nThe Dominican duo of Nairobi Jim\u00e9nez and Clarissa Confident<\/strong> won the silver medal after falling in the women’s doubles final against the Guatemalans Nikte Sotomayor and Diana Corletto<\/strong> with scores of 21-11 and 21-15.\n\nThe coach Maikel Moreno<\/strong> highlighted the team’s progress, emphasizing that this result is part of the recovery process of Dominican badminton.\n\nTo reach the final, Jim\u00e9nez and Confident defeated the Colombian pair Juliana Girald\u00f3 Andrade and Karen Pati\u00f1o 2-1 in the semifinals, and in the quarterfinals they beat the Salvadorans Daniel Hern\u00e1ndez and F\u00e1tima Centeno 2-0.\n\n\n

    SAIL<\/h2>\n\n\nSamuel P\u00e9rez Camacho conquers bronze in IQFOIL**\n\nIn Paracas Bay, the Dominican Samuel Antonio P\u00e9rez Camacho<\/strong> took to the podium after winning the bronze medal in the IQFOIL<\/strong> sailing modality.\n\nP\u00e9rez Camacho finished with a time of 21 minutes<\/strong> and a net score of 18<\/strong>, after a consistent performance throughout the eight rounds of the event.\n\nThe gold went to the Venezuelan Jos\u00e9 Gregorio Estredo P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, while the silver went to the Peruvian Bruno Mendoza Orihula<\/strong>.\n\n\n

    FIELD HOCKEY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe Dominican Republic men’s team fell 6-2 to Venezuela in the pre-semifinal phase, in a match held at the Villa del Triunfo. The Dominican team occupies the third overall position with six points (2-2), behind Chile and Venezuela.\n\nThe Quisqueyans scored through Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, responsible for the two goals. The medal matches will be played this Friday: the bronze at 11:00 a.m. (12:00 p.m. RD) and the gold at 4:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. RD).\n\n\n
