His compatriot <strong>Carlos Sainz<\/strong> (Ferrari) finished <strong>eighth<\/strong>, 487 thousandths of a second behind the leader.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verstappen fades after a mistake<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nDutchman <strong>Max Verstappen (Red Bull)<\/strong>, affected by a track exit four minutes from the end of SQ3, could not fight for pole and finished <strong>sixth<\/strong> (+473).<br>His teammate in the negative session was <strong>Lewis Hamilton<\/strong>, who with his Ferrari was eliminated in SQ1 (<strong>18th<\/strong>) without time to complete his last lap.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Notable Eliminations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gabriel Bortoleto (Kick Sauber)<\/strong> fell in SQ2 (<strong>13th<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Franco Colapinto (Williams)<\/strong> did not advance from SQ1 (<strong>20th<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In SQ2, the French <strong>Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls)<\/strong> was eliminated, while the young <strong>Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)<\/strong> advanced by a narrow margin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How the SQ3 was decided<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nPiastri opened the final round with a solid <strong>1:20.241<\/strong>, while Verstappen struggled with damage to his car.
