<\/p>\n\n\nLA ROMANA.<\/strong> \u2013 A powerful hit by Bryan de la Cruz<\/strong> and a solid pitching performance by Aaron S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> guided the Toros del Este<\/strong> to a 10-3 victory over the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as<\/strong>, this Sunday, at the Francisco Micheli Stadium, in the continuation of the 2025-26 tournament of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), dedicated to Juan Marichal for the Banreservas Cup.\n\n\n

De la Cruz produces early and with force<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Romanenses wasted no time attacking the Aguilucho opener Devin Smeltzer (0-1)<\/strong>, who took the loss after allowing six hits, six runs \u2014five earned\u2014 in just two innings.\n\nIn the first episode, Allan Castro<\/strong> opened the scoring with a double, and an error in Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez’s shot allowed Eloy Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> to score for 2-0.\n\n\n

In the second inning, the big hit came: a three-run home run by Bryan de la Cruz<\/strong>, his fourth RBI of the game, extending the lead to 5-0 and punishing Smeltzer again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eagles react, but the Bulls respond immediately<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Eagles scored their only three runs in the third inning, with a double by Steward Berroa<\/strong> and RBI singles by Alberto Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> and Fernando Peguero<\/strong>, closing the score to 5-3.\n\nBut the bullfighting response was immediate. In the bottom of the same inning, against reliever Lisalverto Bonilla<\/strong>, the Toros regained control:\n\n\n

    Eloy Jim\u00e9nez secures the score<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nIn the fifth inning, the Bulls completed their offensive production against Pedro Payano<\/strong>, when Eloy Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> hit a two-run single that sealed the final score 10-3.\n\n\n

    S\u00e1nchez dominates from the mound<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nVeteran right-hander Aaron S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> took the victory with a performance of 7.0 innings<\/strong>, in which he allowed seven hits, three runs and no walks, controlling one of the most dangerous offenses in the tournament.\n\n\n
