After Canela’s death, S\u00e1nchez took on the character and keeps the tradition intact this Christmas.\n\n\n

It’s already an icon of Caracas, where you bring a lot of happiness, a lot of joy to the children. They come out the window, stick out their hands, touch the horn (speaker), passersby stop to take photos, because Christmas has begun,” S\u00e1nchez told EFE.\n\nDayana G\u00e1mez attended the meeting, bringing her children and grandchildren, as she claims to do every year, and asked for this 2025 that the situation in Venezuela improves, which remains on alert and has reinforced its military defenses and has called for the enlistment of civilians in the face of the “threat” that, according to the Government, represents the US naval deployment in the Caribbean.\n\n“Ask God that this situation improves. Above all that, that it improves. Because Christmas is really beautiful,” G\u00e1mez told EFE.\n\nVenezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro announced in September the early start of Christmas, as he has done in previous years since coming to power in 2013, arguing that it is a “formula” that has worked “very well for the economy, for culture” and “for joy.”","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
