The agreement will allow logistical tasks such as aircraft refueling and transportation of equipment and specialized personnel.\n\n“The purpose is clear: to strengthen the air and maritime protection ring maintained by our Armed Forces, a decisive reinforcement to prevent the entry of narcotics and deal a more forceful blow against transnational organized crime,” the president reiterated.\n\nThe Head of State added that this cooperation will include technological and intelligence support from the American side, as well as greater coordination with the Dominican Republic Navy and specialized security agencies.\n\nAbinader insisted that it is a strictly temporary<\/strong> measure, which responds to the national interest of reinforcing border and regional security.\n\n\n
