Santo Domingo. <\/strong>– With a completely packed Bellas Artes<\/a> Theater, the long-awaited \u201cBig Band Christmas\u201d concert began promptly at 8:30 p.m., marking a memorable day for Christmas music in the Dominican Republic. The event was opened by maestro Amaury S\u00e1nchez, who, along with his impeccable Big Band, raised the energy with an introduction full of elegance, precision, and festive spirit.<\/p>\n\n\nMaestro S\u00e1nchez, renowned for his high-level orchestral direction, set the stage with a majestic performance that served as the perfect prelude to welcome the protagonist of the night, Puerto Rican crooner Fidel Osorio. Amidst applause and ovations, Osorio entered the stage exuding class, stage presence, and a voice that embraced the audience from the first measure.\n\nDuring the first part of the Christmas concert, the great classics of the season were presented, including \u201cIt\u2019s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas\u201d, \u201cSilver Bells\u201d, \u201cJingle Bells\u201d and \u201cSanta Claus Lleg\u00f3 a la Ciudad\u201d. The Big Band displayed an impeccable sound that enveloped the audience in the Christmas tradition with a mix of nostalgia, sophistication and musical brilliance.\n\n\n

In several interventions, he expressed his gratitude, acknowledging his family, his special guests, and the Dominican public for their support. In addition, Osorio especially thanked his sponsors, including the newspaper El Nuevo Diario, for the support provided in this concert.\n\nOne of the most celebrated moments of the night was the special participation of the Dominican artist Amanda S\u00e1nchez, who joined Osorio on stage to perform several songs as a duet. The vocal chemistry between the two, combined with the sonic force of the Big Band, delivered some of the most moving numbers of the concert, highlighting Dominican artistic elegance alongside the international brilliance of the Puerto Rican guest.\n\nThe staging stood out for its classic aesthetic, enveloping lighting, and a musical direction that transported attendees to the golden age of swing; each arrangement, transition, and interpretation reaffirmed the quality of the project, designed to position “Big Band Christmas” as a world-class event within the Dominican cultural calendar.\n\n\n
