<\/h1>\n\n\nLIMA, Peru.<\/strong> The Dominican Republic delegation had a productive day this Wednesday on Day XI of the XX Bolivarian Games, with six new medals won in rowing, athletics, judo and boxing, consolidating its seventh position in the general medal table with a total of 43 medals<\/strong> (8 gold, 11 silver and 24 bronze).\n\n\n

Ignacio V\u00e1squez wins gold in men’s singles<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rower Ignacio V\u00e1squez shone by conquering the gold medal in the men’s single sculls (LM1x)<\/strong> event, in the competitions held at Cantolao beach, La Punta.
V\u00e1squez dominated the 200 meters with a time of 1:31.96<\/strong>, reaching his second medal of the event after the silver achieved in the lightweight double sculls.<\/p>\n\n\nVenezuelan Andre Ricardo Mora Sosa won silver (1:35.30) and Peruvian C\u00e9sar Cipriani Robles took the bronze (1:36.90).\n\n\n

    Men’s and Women’s 4×100 Relays Conquer Silver<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Dominican selection added two silver medals in the relay races held at the Videna Athletic Stadium.\n\n\n

    Men’s 4×100 Relay:<\/strong>
    The team composed of Christopher Reyes, Melbin Jos\u00e9 Marcelino Olivo, Lidio Andr\u00e9s Feliz, and Yancarlos Mart\u00ednez stopped the clock at 39.20 seconds<\/strong>, escorting Colombia, which won gold with a Bolivarian record of 38.73<\/strong>. Venezuela obtained the bronze (39.31).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Women’s 4×100 Relay:<\/strong>
    The sprinters Fiordaliza Cofil, Liranyi Alonso, Patricia Sin\u00e9, and Milagros Dur\u00e1n recorded 44.23 seconds<\/strong>, only surpassed by Colombia (44.00). Chile completed the podium with 45.08.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      RD closes with bronze in mixed team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Dominican representation took the bronze medal after defeating Peru 4-1 in the mixed team modality, played under a “round robin” format.\n\nThe Quisqueyan judokas fell 2-3 against Colombia and 1-4 against Venezuela, concluding third in the general table of this sport with “nine medals” (3 gold, 1 silver, 5 bronze).\n\nIn Valledupar 2022, RD had won two golds (Moira Morillo and Jos\u00e9 Nova), a silver and a bronze.\n\n\n

      BOXING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Two bronzes secured and a place in the final<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nBoxing added two bronze medals due to the intervention of Elen Roble (51 kg)<\/strong> and Johan Ag\u00fcero Monta\u00f1o (60 kg)<\/strong>, while Jos\u00e9 Agust\u00edn<\/strong> advanced to the final and secured at least silver after defeating Bolivian Jimmy Quiroz (+90 kg) by RSC.\n\nAgust\u00edn will compete for the gold this Thursday against Gerlon Congo, from Ecuador.\n\nRoble fell 0-5 to Peruvian Ana Baylon and Ag\u00fcero was surpassed by RSC in the second round by Colombian Yilmar Gonz\u00e1lez.\n\n\n
