LIMA, Peru.\u2013<\/strong> Athletics regained the spotlight for the Dominican delegation by winning one gold medal, one silver medal, and two bronze medals<\/strong>, while boxing contributed two silver medals and karate added a bronze in kata during the day on Thursday at the XX Bolivarian Games 2025<\/strong>, which are being held in this city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ATHLETICS<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Rosa Ram\u00edrez is crowned two-time champion in shot put<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nDominican Rosa Ang\u00e9lica Ram\u00edrez<\/strong> defended her title in shot put by reaching a mark of 17.44 meters<\/strong>, defeating Chileans Ivana Gallardo (17.22 m) and Ahymara Espinoza (17.05 m), from Venezuela.\n\nWith this triumph, Ram\u00edrez becomes a two-time Bolivarian champion<\/strong>, after also obtaining gold in Valledupar 2022.\n\n\n

Women’s 4×400 Relay Wins Silver<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe quartet made up of Bianka Acosta Mercado, Milagros Dur\u00e1n Garc\u00eda, Patricia Sin\u00e9 and Estrella De Aza Henrry<\/strong> won the silver<\/strong> medal with a time of 3:37.56<\/strong>, finishing behind Colombia, which set a games record with 3:34.10<\/strong>.\n\nVenezuela completed the podium with 3:39.78<\/strong>.\n\n\n

Men’s 4×400 Relay Wins Bronze<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe men’s quartet made up of Christopher Melenciano Reyes, Lidio Andr\u00e9s Feliz, Wilbert Encarnaci\u00f3n Luis and Yeral N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/strong> took the bronze<\/strong> with a time of 3:06.52<\/strong>.\n\nVenezuela conquered the gold with 3:04.00<\/strong>, while Ecuador took the silver (3:06.07).\n\n\n

Cristian Rodr\u00edguez wins bronze in 110-meter hurdles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe hurdler Cristian Rodr\u00edguez Mota<\/strong> obtained the bronze<\/strong> by timing 14.39 seconds<\/strong> in the 110-meter hurdles final.\n\nThe gold went to Marcos Herrera<\/strong> (Ecuador, 13.97 s) and the silver to Yohan Chaverra<\/strong> (Colombia, 14.18 s).\n\n\n

    Larry Aracena wins bronze in kata<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe Dominican Larry Aracena<\/strong> won the bronze medal<\/strong> in kata by defeating the Chilean Crist\u00f3bal Barra<\/strong> 37.9\u201336.3.\n\nCasanova Guerrero (Venezuela) took the gold, the Colombian Alejandro Ram\u00edrez<\/strong> the silver, and the other bronze went to Fernando Calder\u00f3n<\/strong> (Guatemala).\n\nIn kumite -60 kg, Aldhair Zabala Ogando<\/strong> was eliminated after losing his three matches.\n\n\n
