New reports of irregularities<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\nNasralla said today on his social media that in the absence of electoral records to be entered into the vote counting center, he would be ahead by 40,000 votes over his opponent Asfura.\n\nHe added that 755 records from the department of Cort\u00e9s – where he claims to have won the elections – are missing, 294 are pending entry and 461 “that they maliciously ruled as inconsistencies”.\n\nAsfura, for his part, on Thursday called for “serenity” and respect for the course of the process, and highlighted the civic behavior of the population.\n\n“The stability of the country is above any personal ambition. I ask for serenity, it’s a matter of time, the CNE will give the final results,” he underlined on his social media.\n\nFrom the day of the general elections, the electoral body has up to 30 days to announce the final results.\n\nToday’s day has passed with relative calm, although with repeated reports of irregularities, calls for serenity and the expectation of Hondurans to know the final results, which may be ready before Christmas, according to projections by the CNE.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
