{"id":494055,"date":"2025-12-09T17:19:23","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T21:19:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/first-lady-raquel-arbaje-leads-graduation-of-1177-new-infotep-technicians-in-the-eastern-region\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T17:19:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T21:19:23","slug":"first-lady-raquel-arbaje-leads-graduation-of-1177-new-infotep-technicians-in-the-eastern-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/first-lady-raquel-arbaje-leads-graduation-of-1177-new-infotep-technicians-in-the-eastern-region\/","title":{"rendered":"First Lady Raquel Arbaje leads graduation of 1,177 new Infotep technicians in the Eastern Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>Hig\u00fcey, La Altagracia.<\/strong> -The First Lady of the Republic, Raquel Arbaje de Abinader, led the event in which the National Institute for Technical Professional Training (Infotep) graduated 1,177 new technicians belonging to the Eastern Region of the country, along with the general director of the institution, Professor Rafael Santos Bad\u00eda.<br><br>The graduates come from the provinces of San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor and La Altagracia, a territory where the greatest tourist activity of the Dominican Republic is concentrated, with poles such as Punta Cana, B\u00e1varo, Bayahibe, Dominicus and Hig\u00fcey, which demand specialized services, qualified talent and personnel with high quality standards.\n\nFirst Lady Raquel Arbaje highlighted the technical careers pursued by the graduates and stated that they respond to the real demands of the Eastern region, &#8220;especially in sectors such as tourism and industry, where their preparation will be essential.&#8221;\n\n\u201cThe training received at Infotep allows them to meet increasingly demanding profiles and aspire to decent and quality jobs. To each graduate, men and women, I sincerely congratulate them. They represent the force that drives the development and collective well-being of our country,\u201d he expressed.\n\nSantos Bad\u00eda affirmed that this new promotion represents a decisive contribution to the sustained growth of the Dominican economy and, especially, to the hotel and tourism industry of the Eastern Region.\n\n\u201cToday we once again seal our commitment to society and to this thriving region by delivering to the country 1,177 new professionals trained to join companies or undertake with dignity. This technical talent is vital to sustain the leadership of the tourism and hotel industry in the East, which receives visitors from all over the world and demands competent, ethical, and innovative personnel,\u201d he expressed.\n\nThe provincial governor of La Altagracia, Daysi D\u2019Oleo, highlighted that the entire region celebrates the effort, dedication, and commitment to contribute to society of the more than a thousand technicians who received their titles, while highlighting the impact of Infotep in the province and all the surrounding communities.\n\nFor her part, Mar\u00eda del Pilar Mart\u00ednez, director of Human Talent at Sanctuary Cap Cana, affirmed that Infotep is a bridge to quality employment.\n\n\u201cInfotep has programs tailored to the demand of each sector, technical professional training is the smartest investment we can make,\u201d Mart\u00ednez expressed.\n\nIn addition to the 1,177 technicians, Infotep awarded titles to 131 facilitators graduated from the National Center for Teacher Development of Infotep, with which the number of graduates totals 1,308.\n\nThe act is part of the ordinary graduation cycle, with which Infotep has delivered to society 5,651 technicians and 758 teachers, for a total of 6,409 new graduates in the North, Gran Santo Domingo and Distrito Nacional, South and East regions.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Training in 23 key occupations<\/h2>\n\n\n<br>Santos Bad\u00eda also highlighted that the promotion includes training in 23 occupations, including Hairdressing, Industrial Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Nursing, Gastronomy, Bakery, Pastry, Sales, Pharmacy, and Refrigeration.<br>\u00a0<br>Also, Bar and Restaurant, Telecommunications, Hotel Floor Management, Body and Therapeutic Massage, Boilers, Plumbing, Aesthetics, Operation of Agricultural Equipment, Accounting, Medical Imaging, Maintenance of Power Plants, and Facilitation of Teaching Processes.<br>\u00a0<br>He also highlighted the dual qualification of students from the Ministry of Education-Infotep agreement, belonging to the Mar\u00eda Auxiliadora Polytechnic (MIR Foundation), in the occupations of Industrial Pattern of Clothing and Pastry.<br>\u00a0<br>He underlined the emblematic case of 16 women from Isla Saona who graduated as Technicians in Body and Therapeutic Massage, &#8220;a fundamental occupation in a destination that receives tourists daily from different countries.&#8221;\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Advances in Infrastructure and Training Quality<br>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\nSince 2020, the Eastern Regional has formed 26 evaluation commissions responsible for certifying competencies with high quality standards. In that same period, Infotep has graduated 3,380 full-exit technicians in this demarcation.\n\nIn terms of infrastructure, the institution has inaugurated the San Rafael del Yuma Technological Center in La Altagracia, the Amber School in El Valle and the Villa Suiza School in Sabana de la Mar, both in Hato Mayor.\n\nIn the coming days, the new facilities of the Santa Fe Center in San Pedro de Macor\u00eds and the School of Hotel Management at the Meli\u00e1 Punta Cana B\u00e1varo Hotel will be opened.\n\nThese works strengthen access to technical-professional training and bring services closer to both the community and the tourism and hotel sector throughout the region.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hotel sector reaffirms its support<\/h2>\n\n\nThe link with the hotel sector remains solid and strategic.
