The event also recognized <strong>Bryan de la Cruz<\/strong> and <strong>Jorge Tav\u00e1rez<\/strong>, who were awarded the previous week.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Candelario, Offensive Force for the Bulls<\/h2>\n\n\nJeimer Candelario topped the voting for the team with <strong>43 ballots<\/strong>, surpassing his teammate <strong>Allan Castro<\/strong> (17 votes). During the week he played five games and had an outstanding offensive performance: a <strong>.333<\/strong> average (7 hits in 21 at-bats), including a home run and a triple. He completed a line with <strong>.391 OBP<\/strong>, <strong>.619 slugging<\/strong> and <strong>1.010 OPS<\/strong>. With this award, it is the <strong>seventeenth time<\/strong> that a Toros player has received the recognition since LIDOM resumed the awards in the 2022-2023 season.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lakins, Dominance from the Mound<\/h2>\n\n\nFor his part, Travis Lakins obtained <strong>49 votes<\/strong> to win the pitchers&#8217; vote; his main rival was <strong>Jean Carlos Henr\u00edquez<\/strong> (\u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as) with 31 votes, while <strong>Aaron Brooks<\/strong> (Toros) received 23 ballots. Lakins made two starts for the Leones in which he totaled <strong>10 innings<\/strong>, allowed <strong>2 earned runs<\/strong>, <strong>5 hits<\/strong> and struck out <strong>8<\/strong> batters. His effectiveness in those outings was <strong>1.80<\/strong> and he finished with a <strong>WHIP of 0.50<\/strong>, becoming the seventh pitcher for the Leones to win the award.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acknowledgements and logistics<\/h2>\n\n\nThe selection and awards ceremony was attended by the president of the Eagles, <strong>V\u00edctor Garc\u00eda Sued<\/strong>, and the general manager of the Bulls, <strong>Jes\u00fas Mej\u00eda<\/strong>.
