A frontal trough will cause scattered showers Thursday and Friday, according to INDOMET"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong> \u2013 The Dominican Institute of Meteorology reported that for this Thursday an increase in humidity and atmospheric instability is expected due to the approach of a <strong>trough associated with a frontal system<\/strong>, a phenomenon that will generate <strong>cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms<\/strong> from the morning hours.\n\nPrecipitation will impact with greater intensity provinces such as La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Santo Domingo, San Crist\u00f3bal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona, Pedernales, La Vega, Santiago, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, Hato Mayor and Saman\u00e1, as well as areas of the Central mountain range, the north, northeast and the border zone.\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Friday with isolated showers:<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nFor Friday, the trough will remain northeast of the country over Atlantic waters, causing <strong>isolated showers and possible thunderstorms<\/strong> in regions of the <strong>north, northeast, the Eastern Plain, the Central mountain range, and the border area<\/strong>.\n\nTemperatures will remain slightly pleasant, especially in mountainous areas and inland valleys, where <strong>fogs and mists<\/strong> could be recorded in <strong>Santiago, Espaillat and Hermanas Mirabal<\/strong>.\n\nIn Greater Santo Domingo, cloudy increases are expected with isolated showers, with temperatures ranging between <strong>21 \u00b0C and 23 \u00b0C in the early morning<\/strong> and between <strong>30 \u00b0C and 32 \u00b0C in the afternoon<\/strong>.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/indomet.gob.do\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/indomet.gob.do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INDOMET <\/a>explains that the influence of a <strong>high-pressure system<\/strong> in the Atlantic persists, which maintains mostly stable conditions; however, the arrival of the frontal trough will cause punctual rains in various locations of the country during the next 48 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo. \u2013 The Dominican Institute of Meteorology reported that for this Thursday an increase in humidity and atmospheric instability is expected due to the approach of a trough associated with a frontal system, a phenomenon that will generate cloudiness, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms from the morning hours.
