SANTO DOMINGO.<\/strong>\u00a0 The Ministry of the Presidency (MINPRE) and the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI)<\/strong> held an emotional meeting with the children of one of the shelters managed by the governing body of the Child, Adolescent and Adolescent Protection System, located in the National District.<\/p>\n\n\nThe activity was led by the Minister of the Presidency, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza,<\/strong> and the Executive President of CONANI, Ligia P\u00e9rez Pe\u00f1a. Upon their arrival, the authorities were greeted with a Christmas carol and then began a tour of the home’s facilities, guided by the Director of Hogares de Paso del CONANI, Rosa Amalia Morillo, verifying the operation and conditions of the center.\n\n\n

Subsequently, the Minister of the Presidency, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, reaffirmed the Dominican Government’s commitment to the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents, as well as to the strengthening of public policies aimed at their well-being and development.\n\n\n

As part of the day, a gift presentation and a shared breakfast were also held. The activity concluded with the screening of the film written and produced by the singer Juan Luis Guerra and directed by his son, the filmmaker Jean Guerra, Capit\u00e1n<\/p>\n\n\nWasp, in a recreational space designed for the enjoyment and healthy coexistence of children, with the support of the National Directorate of Cinema (DGCINE) and the Cinematheque.\n\nAlso present were the executive director of CONANI, Alexandra Santelises; the head of DGCINE, Marianna Vargas Gurilieva; the vice minister of Institutional Relations of MINPRE, Mar\u00eda del Pilar Ca\u00f1as; and the director of the American School, Wara Gonz\u00e1lez, part of the volunteer group that supports this home.\n\nFrom CONANI, together with the Ministry of the Presidency, we reaffirm the commitment to continue promoting actions that promote safe, protective environments full of opportunities, always placing the rights, dignity, and integral development of Dominican children at the center.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
