In addition, he equaled the club&#8217;s historical record for most RBIs in a season, set by <strong>George Bell (1983-84)<\/strong>.\n\nWith his performance, De La Cruz joined the exclusive group of players with 40 or more RBIs in tournaments of 50 games in the history of the LIDOM:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>V\u00edctor D\u00edaz: 50 (2008-09)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Juan Francisco: 42 (2009-10)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domingo Mart\u00ednez: 40 (1994-95)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jos\u00e9 Oliva: 40 (1997-98)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bryan De La Cruz: 40 (2025-26)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celestino breaks scoring record<\/h3>\n\n\nGilberto Celestino also left his mark by scoring his <strong>37th run<\/strong> of the campaign, setting a new run record for native players of the Toros del Este, surpassing the previous record of Ronny Sim\u00f3n (36 in 2023-24).\n\nWith this triumph, the Toros finished the regular season with a record of <strong>27-22<\/strong>, closing with two consecutive victories and 49 games played, after the cancellation of the Monday 22nd game against the \u00c1guilas by joint decision of the league and both teams.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mound labor<\/h3>\n\n\nThe victory went to reliever <strong>\u00c1ngel Felipe (1-0, 0.00)<\/strong>, who pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts. The save went to <strong>Jos\u00e9 Adames (1)<\/strong>, while the loss fell on <strong>Osvaldo Bid\u00f3 (0-1, 5.40)<\/strong>, allowing three runs and six hits in three innings.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upcoming commitments<\/h3>\n\n\nThe Toros del Este will begin the <strong>Round Robin<\/strong> this Saturday 27th, when they receive the <strong>Gigantes del Cibao<\/strong> at the Francisco A.
