It&#8217;s not just about transferring; the goal is for each user to receive humanized and quality care in the shortest possible time,&#8221; stated the DAEH management.\n\nSimilarly, the DAEH achieved a national average reduction of 4 minutes and 3 seconds in response times compared to the same period in 2024.\n\nIn Greater Santo Domingo, the improvement reached 4 minutes and 27 seconds, setting a precedent in timely care.\n\n&#8220;Reducing minutes in an emergency can mean saving a life. That&#8217;s why we&#8217;ve worked on improving processes, technology, and operational deployment,&#8221; said M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda.\n\n<em>Territorial expansion and operational strengthening<\/em>\n\nThanks to the support of President Luis Abinader and the Minister of the Presidency Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, during this year 235 new ambulances were integrated, for a total of 850 ambulances nationwide and 122 Immediate Response Units (URI). This operational growth was supported by the incorporation of 2,730 new collaborators.\n\nThe DAEH highlights that the expansion allowed to reach a coverage of 93% of the Dominican population, including the opening of a new operational base in Pedernales, where 13 fully equipped ambulances were integrated, with strategic coverage for the Cabo Rojo tourist corridor.\n\n&#8220;The expansion to Pedernales represents our commitment to equitable care, regardless of distance or geography,&#8221; states the head of the entity.\n\nCitizen perception reflected an overall satisfaction of 90%, highlighting the speed of response, technical preparation, and humane treatment of pre-hospital personnel.\n\nIn terms of training, the DAEH trained 16,301 people through the &#8220;Cuidando Vidas&#8221; program and 3,124 citizens in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).\n\nThe institution also advanced in technological innovation with its own operational monitoring and control platforms, achieving coverage and availability of ambulances in more than 90%.\n\nThe DAEH highlights that it closes the year with high levels of compliance in government indicators, among which 92% in the Internal Control Index, 94% in the Budget Management Index and 98.49% in the transparency portal stand out.\n\nWith the development of these capabilities and scope, the DAEH impacts the health indicators of our population, contributing to the increase in survival from traffic accidents, maternal and infant mortality, cerebrovascular disease, and acute coronary syndrome.\n\n&#8220;These results commit us to continue improving.
