{"id":496093,"date":"2025-12-30T13:47:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T17:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/lidom-reveals-schedule-of-regular-season-awards-announcements-for-the-2025-2026-season\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T13:47:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T17:47:06","slug":"lidom-reveals-schedule-of-regular-season-awards-announcements-for-the-2025-2026-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/sports\/baseball\/lidom-reveals-schedule-of-regular-season-awards-announcements-for-the-2025-2026-season\/","title":{"rendered":"LIDOM reveals schedule of regular season awards announcements for the 2025-2026 season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SANTO DOMINGO.\u2013<\/strong> The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) announced that starting <strong>Friday, January 2<\/strong> the official announcement of the winners of the awards corresponding to the <strong>regular season of the 2025-2026 championship<\/strong>, dedicated to <strong>don Juan Marichal<\/strong> and in option to the <strong>Banreservas Cup<\/strong>, will begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You may be interested in<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/deportes\/beisbol\/liberato-impulsa-cuatro-y-toros-superan-7-6-a-las-aguilas-en-el-round-robin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">:Liberato drives in four and Toros beat \u00c1guilas 7-6 in the Round Robin<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nThrough a press release, the league indicated that a <strong>national jury of 69 members<\/strong> completed the voting process to select the winners in the categories <strong>Most Valuable Player, Pitcher of the Year, Executive of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and General Manager of the Year<\/strong>.\n\nLIDOM specified that the announcement of the <strong>Most Valuable Player<\/strong> will be made on <strong>Wednesday, January 7<\/strong>, during a special broadcast of the official program <strong>Palco LIDOM<\/strong>, starting at <strong>12:00 noon<\/strong>, through the YouTube channel <strong>LIDOMTV<\/strong>.\n\nThe other awards will be announced at the same time, through <strong>official statements<\/strong>, as well as through the <strong>digital platforms and social networks<\/strong> of the league.\n\nThe revelation calendar will begin on <strong>Friday, January 2<\/strong> with the announcements of the <strong>Rookie of the Year<\/strong> and <strong>Man of the Year<\/strong> awards. This last award, according to the official regulations of the awards, is granted by the players of the league themselves and is awarded to the player who best represents the values of <strong>camaraderie, kindness, decency and respect for the game<\/strong>.\n\nOn <strong>Sunday, January 4<\/strong>, the winner of the <strong>General Manager of the Year<\/strong> award will be announced, while on <strong>Monday 5<\/strong> the <strong>Executive of the Year<\/strong> will be announced. Subsequently, on <strong>Tuesday 6<\/strong> the announcement of the <strong>Pitcher of the Year<\/strong> will take place, and finally, on <strong>Wednesday 7<\/strong>, the winner of the <strong>Most Valuable Player<\/strong> award of the regular season will be revealed.\n\nLIDOM explained that the jury was made up of <strong>five communicators with no labor, professional, or commercial affiliation<\/strong> with the six professional baseball franchises in the cities of <strong>Santiago, San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds and La Romana<\/strong>; <strong>four members of the press departments and broadcasting networks<\/strong> of the six teams; <strong>three Dominican communicators residing in the United States<\/strong>; <strong>three international reporters established in the Dominican Republic<\/strong>, and <strong>one communicator from provinces without franchises<\/strong>, thus guaranteeing the <strong>regional equity<\/strong> of the voting process.\n\nThe provinces represented in the jury were <strong>La Altagracia, El Seibo, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, Valverde, Puerto Plata, La Vega, Espaillat, Monse\u00f1or Nouel and Peravia<\/strong>.\n\nFor the second consecutive year, LIDOM applied the <strong>weighted valuation method<\/strong>, through which voters were able to select several candidates per award, in the order they deemed appropriate, generating <strong>differentiated scores<\/strong> for each position of choice.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards Announcement Calendar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>January 2 | 12:30 p.m.:<\/strong> Rookie of the Year and Knight of the Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January 4 | 12:30 p.m.:<\/strong> General Manager of the Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January 5 | 12:30 p.m.:<\/strong> Leader of the Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January 6 | 12:30 p.m.:<\/strong> Pitcher of the Year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January 7 | 12:00 p.m.:<\/strong> Most Valuable Player (special broadcast of <strong>Palco LIDOM<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANTO DOMINGO.\u2013 The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) announced that starting Friday, January 2 the official announcement of the winners of the awards corresponding to the regular season of the 2025-2026 championship, dedicated to don Juan Marichal and in option to the Banreservas Cup, will begin.
