The intervention was performed at the Ruber Internacional hospital in Madrid, where the Venezuelan patient was operated on with the help of a surgical robot while breathing on his own.\n\nThe tumor was in a very complex area of the trachea, and during the operation the carina was reconstructed without removing any lung.
