{"id":496241,"date":"2025-12-31T12:24:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T16:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/outrage-in-la-ceibita-family-members-set-fire-to-tires-after-burial-of-young-man-killed-in-police-action\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T12:24:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T16:24:07","slug":"outrage-in-la-ceibita-family-members-set-fire-to-tires-after-burial-of-young-man-killed-in-police-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/outrage-in-la-ceibita-family-members-set-fire-to-tires-after-burial-of-young-man-killed-in-police-action\/","title":{"rendered":"Outrage in La Ceibita: family members set fire to tires after burial of young man killed in police action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Santiago.<\/strong>&#8211; Residents, family members, and friends of the young Miguel \u00c1ngel Miranda Flete, 23 years old, set fire to tires and held a protest yesterday afternoon in the community of La Ceibita, south of the province of Santiago, demanding justice and to ensure that his death does not go unpunished, after he was buried.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration took place after the burial of the young man, whose death has generated consternation in this area of Santiago, as it is linked to an alleged police abuse that occurred on December 25th, around 7:00 in the morning, while a celebration was taking place on the public road.<\/p>\n<p>According to versions offered by the victim&#8217;s relatives, police officers arrived at the scene and acted violently, delivering blows that caused several boxes of beer located in the area to fall, as well as aggressions against other people present at the activity.<\/p>\n<p>You can also read:<\/p>\n<p>During the protest, at least six family members and friends lit tires as a way to get the authorities&#8217; attention, demanding that the case be clarified and that responsibilities be determined. Although the protesters did not offer statements to cameras, they reiterated their demand for justice.<\/p>\n<p>Faced with the event, the National Police reported that Second Lieutenant Vicente Encarnaci\u00f3n Jersin, allegedly involved in the incident, was suspended from his duties and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
