Economy and Expectations for 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nRegarding the country’s economic situation, 38% believe it is better than last year, while 40% consider it worse. However, future expectations show greater optimism: 47% believe the economy will be better in 2026, compared to 34% who think it will worsen.\n\nLikewise, 67% believe that the president has the capacity, attitude, and knowledge to improve the country’s situation next year, and 63% claim to believe in his word.\n\nRegarding the performance of President Abinader, it is valued as positive by 63% of respondents<\/strong>, while Vice President Raquel Pe\u00f1a obtains a positive valuation of 79%, one of the highest figures in the study.\n\n\n

Top-rated officials<\/p>\n\n\nAmong the officials of the Executive Branch, figures such as Carlos Bonilla<\/strong> (Housing), Luis Miguel de Camps<\/strong> (Education) and David Collado<\/strong> (Tourism<\/a>) stand out for their approval rating, all with approval levels above 75%.\n\nIn terms of efficiency and honesty, ministers David Collado, Luis Miguel de Camps and V\u00edctor Atallah are among the best valued by the citizenry, with positive perception percentages that are around or exceed 80%.\n\n\n

Main citizen concerns<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nLooking ahead to 2026, the survey indicates that the main concerns of Dominicans are quality of life (54%), salary improvement (51%), the economic situation (48%), and lack of employment (44%), followed by poverty, health, and citizen insecurity.\n\nThe study concludes that, despite economic and social concerns, the Government maintains high levels of approval and trust, especially in the presidential figure and in several key officials, which outlines a favorable political scenario for the year 2026.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
