Mamdani<\/a> underlined that this new office will give citizens “direct communication with the administration” and will be part of the “new era” for New York.<\/p>\n\n\n

“We are going to demystify the government so that all New Yorkers can be active participants and have the resources they need to thrive in the city,” declared Van Auken.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Latinos, a Great Support for Mamdani<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nMamdani highlighted that he “would not have been mayor if it were not for the Latino New Yorkers from the five boroughs”, and shared his concerns that “they are not represented in the government” and “they also do not see their problems represented”.\n\n“Latinos face the highest housing insecurity of any other ethnic group.
