Panama City.-<\/strong> Copa Airlines <\/strong>announced this Thursday the resumption, starting next Tuesday, and in a phased manner, of its flights to and from Caracas “following the improvement in operational conditions in the airspace”,<\/strong> flights that it had suspended since last December 4 amid tensions between the United States and Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Copa Airlines informs that, following the improvement in operational conditions in the airspace of Maiquet\u00eda, in Venezuela, it will resume its flights to and from the city of Caracas starting Tuesday, January 13, 2026, with a daily frequency”<\/strong>, the company stated in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of last Saturday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States restricted airspace in the Caribbean and Venezuela “in support of the Department of War,”<\/strong> according to the words of the Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, and to “ensure the safety of the public on flights.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nThe United States launched an attack against several points in Venezuelan territory, including the capital, Caracas, and captured Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.\n\n\n
