During his time with the Hawks, Young played <strong>493 games, all as a starter<\/strong>, and established himself as one of the most productive players in the league.\n\nIn seven full seasons with Atlanta, the point guard averaged <strong>25.3 points<\/strong>, <strong>9.8 assists<\/strong>, <strong>3.5 rebounds<\/strong> and <strong>1.0 steals<\/strong> per game. However, in the current season he was limited by a <strong>sprain in the right knee<\/strong> and a <strong>quad contusion<\/strong>, which reduced his participation.\n\nYoung&#8217;s greatest collective achievement with the Hawks came in the <strong>2020-21<\/strong> season, when the team reached the <strong>Eastern Conference Finals<\/strong>, where they fell to the <strong>Milwaukee Bucks<\/strong>. Despite this, Atlanta missed the playoffs in four seasons and was eliminated in the first round in two others.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The last few years weren&#8217;t how I wanted them to be. My goal was always to bring a championship to Atlanta, but between injuries and unforeseen circumstances, we never managed to show our full potential,&#8221; the player acknowledged.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nYoung arrives at a Wizards team that currently occupies the <strong>second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 10-26<\/strong>, while Atlanta, his former team, is <strong>ninth with a record of 18-21<\/strong>.\n\nAs part of the exchange, <strong>Washington sent forward Corey Kispert and guard CJ McCollum<\/strong> to Atlanta, reinforcing the move that changes the course of both franchises.\n\nOn an individual level, Young has had historic campaigns. In the <strong>2022-23 and 2023-24<\/strong> seasons, he averaged more than <strong>25 points and 10 assists<\/strong>, a consecutive feat achieved only by <strong>Nikola Jokic, Russell Westbrook, and Oscar Robertson<\/strong>.
