In his opinion, this approach lacks practical sense, as a deeper analysis reveals that both economies and technological systems are closely linked. “The more you analyze it, the more you see that in reality both countries are very connected,” he emphasized.\n\nThe executive acknowledged that China represents an “adversary” for the United States, but also a “partner in many respects,” especially in key areas such as technology and innovation. In that context, he maintained that the real challenge lies in achieving a balance between strategic independence and the recognition of mutual dependence. “It’s good to have some independence, or as much independence as each one desires, but recognizing that there is a lot of connection and a lot of dependence between the two countries,” he said.\n\n\n
