You can read: Delcy Rodr\u00edguez assures that \u201cthe people command\u201d and that in Venezuela the Government of Nicol\u00e1s Maduro continues to govern<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n“The flow in this part of the border is normal; that pendulum flow of people coming and going for reasons of commerce, among others, is normal,” Arriero stated in a video released on X, adding that there have been no significant increases or decreases in the passage of people and that commercial activity continues regularly, in line with the trends observed during 2025.\n\nColombia and Venezuela share a border of 2,219 kilometers and through the border crossings of C\u00facuta, capital of Norte de Santander, an average of 60,000 people pass daily.\n\nThe only difference this week has been the arrival at the border of numerous journalists from international media outlets in search of news and reactions from Venezuelans to the recent US operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and his transfer to New York.\n\nThe Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP) warned this Thursday about limitations and risks to journalistic practice on the Colombian-Venezuelan border, denouncing arbitrary detentions, access restrictions, and acts of intimidation against communicators trying to report from the area.\n\nThe FLIP stated in a statement that Colombian and foreign journalists have been detained by Venezuelan authorities, prevented from entering the neighboring country, or returned to Colombia after equipment checks and demands to delete journalistic material.\n\nThe Foundation also alerted to reports of surveillance and monitoring of reporters by men in civilian clothes, allegedly from Venezuela.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
