His record of never having a losing season in 19 years will probably never be repeated<\/strong>\u201d, expressed the executive.<\/p>\n\n\nTomlin, 53, leaves the organization without having been fired, which opens up the possibility of taking a sabbatical, taking another position in the NFL, or joining the media as an analyst, a field in which he already has several proposals.\n\nThe decision comes after Pittsburgh&#8217;s elimination in the American Conference wild card round, following the 30-6 defeat against the <strong>Houston Texans<\/strong>.\n\nDuring his tenure, which began in 2007, Tomlin led the Steelers to the <strong>Super Bowl XLIII title<\/strong>, qualified the team for the <strong>playoffs on 13 occasions<\/strong>, and won <strong>eight AFC North championships<\/strong>, establishing himself as one of the most successful coaches of the modern era.\n\nIn the regular season, the coach finished with a record of <strong>193 wins, 114 losses, and two ties<\/strong>, while in the postseason he recorded a mark of <strong>8-12<\/strong>.\n\nTomlin&#8217;s departure makes Pittsburgh the <strong>seventh team<\/strong> to change coaches after the conclusion of the 2025 season.
