San Crist\u00f3bal. \u2013<\/strong> The President Luis Abinader<\/strong> led this Thursday the presentation of the first armored military vehicle assembled <\/strong>in the Dominican Republic, a milestone driven by the Dominican Military Industry (IMIDOM)<\/strong> as part of the strengthening of national security and the modernization of the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\nDuring the event, the Minister of Defense<\/a>, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Onofre (ERD)<\/strong>, officially presented the armored vehicle called \u201cFURIA\u201d (Unified Armed Immediate Response Force), corresponding to the VBD-1 model \u2013 Dominican Armored Vehicle, designed to respond to security and defense operations in complex scenarios.\n\nThe \u201cFURIA\u201d was exhibited as a robust and high-capacity unit<\/strong>, equipped with tactical technology for immediate response operations. According to the details provided, this vehicle has a capacity for 11 soldiers and has level 3 armor, with high-strength ballistic steel and multi-layer ballistic glass, capable of withstanding ammunition up to 7.62 mm caliber.\n\n\n

Features of “FURIA”<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nAmong its technical features, it also includes runflat tires, which allow you to continue moving even after impacts or total loss of pressure; a 360-degree rotating turret for weaponry, perimeter surveillance cameras, robotic headlights and support systems such as GPS and air conditioning, elements that increase the mobility and protection of the crew.\n\n\n
