(LIDOM) reported this Friday that the <strong>Toros del Este<\/strong> team filed a formal protest for the game held on Thursday at the <strong>Francisco A. Micheli Stadium<\/strong> against the <strong>\u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as<\/strong>, corresponding to the Round Robin of the 2025-26 tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may be interested in:<a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/deportes\/beisbol\/aguilas-derrotan-a-los-toros-empatan-en-el-segundo-lugar-y-el-partido-queda-bajo-protesta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1guilas defeat Toros, tie for second place and the game is under protest<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nAccording to the provisions of <strong>Article 23 of the Tournament Regulations<\/strong>, the protest was submitted within the regulatory period of twelve (12) hours after the conclusion of the match, thus complying with the formal requirements demanded by current regulations.\n\nLIDOM officially communicated the content of the protest to the team <strong>\u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as<\/strong>, in the person of its president, from which the Cibae\u00f1a franchise has a period of no more than twelve (12) hours to present its means of defense before the presidency of the League.\n\nOnce the corresponding documentation is received from the \u00c1guilas, the presidency of LIDOM will have a maximum period of three (3) hours to issue a reasoned decision, which will be final and in a single instance, in accordance with the regulations.\n\nThe League warned that, due to the established deadlines, it is likely that both the discharges of the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as and the final resolution will not be available before the start or the completion of the matches scheduled for this Friday.\n\nIn that sense, LIDOM clarified that any <strong>impact on the Round Robin standing<\/strong> will be subject to the final ruling issued on the protest filed by the Toros del Este, information that has already been communicated to all participating franchises.\n\nThe League&#8217;s presidency reiterated its commitment to strict compliance with the regulations and the transparency of the tournament, ensuring that the situation will be resolved in accordance with the established provisions.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANTO DOMINGO.\u2013 The presidency of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League, Inc.
