In that sense, he emphasized that this administration reintroduced the subject of morals and civics, considering that values education is essential for professional practice and the growth of society.\n\nThe Head of State emphasized that academic quality must be accompanied by ethical principles and civic responsibility. &#8220;You can be the best doctor and if you perform procedures that were not necessary on a patient, you will be a bad professional; therefore, the first value that a human being must have is honesty, morality, ethics and civility,&#8221; he expressed.\n\nHe also reported that he held conversations with the rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Editrudis Beltr\u00e1n, for the creation of transportation routes to facilitate the access of students from the different municipalities to the university campus inaugurated this Saturday in Neiba.\n\nThe president also highlighted the importance of technical training, noting that many technicians achieve competitive incomes thanks to their preparation. Similarly, he emphasized the mastery of the English language as a great advantage for expanding the labor and professional opportunities of Dominican youth.\n\nHe also reported that he will send a technical commission to survey the situation of school infrastructure in the province, with the purpose of continuing to strengthen the education system.\n\nIn the welcome words, the student Doris Yarin\u00e9 Segura Guerrero thanked the president for the meeting, which she defined as &#8220;a space for close and constructive dialogue where young people have the opportunity to be heard and to share their aspirations, concerns and needs with respect and responsibility.&#8221;\n\nThe young woman valued the president&#8217;s willingness to share with the students and listen to their voices, stating that his presence sends a clear message of support for public education and the development of a prepared youth committed to the country.\n\nMeets with local grape producers\n\nSubsequently, the president held a working meeting with grape producers, listening firsthand to the needs and proposals of the agricultural sector, with a view to promoting solutions that strengthen production and guarantee greater opportunities for field workers.\n\nDuring the meeting, President Abinader reiterated his commitment to support the local wine sector, promoting actions that contribute to the economic growth of the province and the sustainable development of this traditional productive activity.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Neiba, Bahoruco. \u2013 President Luis Abinader called on Saturday for young students in this province to access the scholarship platform of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), highlighting that these academic opportunities represent a way to boost their university education and open new doors to professional development.
