Las Calderas, Peravia. <\/strong>\u2013 The Dominican Republic Navy <\/strong>celebrated on Saturday, January 17th, the graduation ceremony of 272 midshipmen of both genders, trained at the Naval Training Center, <\/strong>after successfully completing the instruction program that began in July of last year.<\/p>\n\n\nThe event took place at the Las Calderas Naval Base,<\/strong> recognized as the cradle of naval training in the country, where a rigorous process of academic, technical, and military training was carried out, aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of the institution and responding to the demands of naval service.\n\n\n

You may be interested in<\/strong>: Dominican Republic Navy<\/a><\/p>\n\n\nThe ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Onofre, ERD,<\/strong> Minister of Defense, who administered the oath to the new sailors who immediately join the active ranks of the Navy, reaffirming their commitment to serve the Homeland with honor, discipline, and loyalty.\n\nThe Minister of Defense was accompanied by the provincial governor of Peravia, Mrs. \u00c1ngela Yadira B\u00e1ez, as well as Vice Admiral Juan B. Cris\u00f3stomo Mart\u00ednez, general commander of the Navy, who presented the recognition to the outstanding graduate of the promotion, in attention to his academic performance, dedication, discipline and vocation of service.\n\n\n

The keynote speech was delivered by the director of the Naval Training Center, Captain Jos\u00e9 Agust\u00edn Jos\u00e9 V\u00e1squez, who highlighted the progressive structure of the training program, developed in blocks of comprehensive preparation, and emphasized that these 272 new sailors assume the commitment to serve with courage, honor and loyalty, projecting their naval career on the basis of discipline, duty and the pride of belonging to the institution.<\/p>\n\n\nDuring the ceremony, Seaman Brayni Rodr\u00edguez Rodr\u00edguez was recognized as an Honorary Graduate, and was presented with his certificate, a recognition plaque, and an institutional gift, in recognition of his outstanding academic performance and exemplary conduct.\n\nThe graduates will be incorporated into the various institutional services according to their specialties, which include: boatswain, marine infantry, diesel mechanics, electricity, radio operator in naval communications, computer science, clerk, nursing, cooking, and driver.\n\nThe ceremony was attended by civil and military authorities, as well as family and friends of the graduating midshipmen, who accompanied this significant step in the professional lives of the new sailors.\n\nVisibly moved, the families participated in the religious act of blessing and invocation to God, expressing their pride and satisfaction for their children’s decision to serve the nation through the Navy, contributing to the highest interests of the Dominican State and the permanent strengthening of the Armed Forces of the Dominican Republic.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
