The files, published on the department’s website, include millions of pages of records that, according to officials, were withheld from an initial disclosure in December.\n\n\n

There is a hunger for information that I do not believe will be satisfied by the review of these documents,”<\/strong> Blanche said.\n\n\n

Some of the newly released material appeared to be highly sexual in nature and was censored<\/strong>. Others were flagged as child sexual abuse material<\/strong> (CSAM).<\/p>\n\n\nThe Epstein Library of the Department of Justice<\/strong> now includes an age verification question, asking users if they are over 18 years old.\n\nIf you answer no to “Are you 18 years or older?”, a message will appear saying “Access denied”.\n\nBlanche also poured cold water on the idea that the Department of Justice has a secret list of names of men associated with Epstein who abused women.\n\n“There is an implicit assumption that, somehow, there is hidden information about men we know and are covering up, or that we choose not to process. That is not the case,” Blanche told reporters.\n\n“I don’t know if there are men who abuse these women. If we obtain information and evidence that allows us to prosecute them, believe me, we will. But I don’t think the public or you are going to discover men who, within Epstein’s files, abuse women,” he added.\n\nThey were disclosed under the Epstein Archives Transparency Act<\/strong>, the law enacted after months of public and political pressure requiring the government to open its files on the late financier and his confidante and ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell<\/strong>.\n\nAfter failing to meet a December 19 deadline set by the Congress<\/strong> to release all files, the Department of Justice<\/strong> said it tasked hundreds of lawyers to review the records to determine what needs to be redacted, to protect the identities of the victims<\/strong>.\n\nThe number of documents subject to review has increased to 5.2 million, including duplicates, the department said.<\/a>\n\n\n

Thousands of Epstein Case Documents Released<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe Department of Justice <\/strong>released tens of thousands of pages of documents just before Christmas<\/strong>, including photographs, interview transcripts, call logs, and court records. Many of them were already public or heavily redacted.\n\nThose records included previously published flight records showing that Donald Trump <\/strong>flew on Epstein’s private jet in the 1990s, before they had a falling out, and several photographs of former President Bill Clinton<\/strong><\/a>. Neither Trump, a Republican, nor Clinton, a Democrat, have been publicly accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and both have said they were unaware that he was abusing underage girls.\n\nLast month, transcripts of jury testimonies were also released, according to which FBI agents described interviews they had with several girls and young women who said they were paid to perform sexual acts for Epstein.\n\nEpstein committed suicide in a jail cell in New York<\/strong> in August 2019, a month after being charged with federal sex trafficking charges.\n\nIn 2008 and 2009, Epstein was in jail in Florida after pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor under 18 years of age. At that time, investigators had gathered evidence that Epstein had sexually abused underage girls at his home in Palm Beach, but the federal prosecutor agreed not to prosecute him in exchange for his guilty plea to lesser state charges.\n\nIn 2021, a federal jury in New York convicted Maxwell, a British socialite, of sex trafficking for helping to recruit some of the victims. She is serving a 20-year prison sentence at a prison camp in Texas, after being transferred there from a federal prison in Florida. She denies any wrongdoing.\n\nFederal prosecutors never charged anyone else in connection with Epstein’s abuse of girls, but one of his victims, Virginia Roberts Giuffre<\/strong>, accused him of arranging for her to have sexual encounters at ages 17 and 18 with numerous politicians, business tycoons, prominent academics, and others, all of whom denied her accusations.\n\n\n

Among the people she accused was Prince Andrew of Great Britain, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/strong> after the scandal led to the stripping of his royal titles.
