{"id":499174,"date":"2026-02-02T18:52:35","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T22:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/jce-delivers-new-id-to-cooperstown-hall-of-fame-members-and-people-with-disabilities\/"},"modified":"2026-02-02T18:54:21","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T22:54:21","slug":"jce-delivers-new-id-to-cooperstown-hall-of-fame-members-and-people-with-disabilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/jce-delivers-new-id-to-cooperstown-hall-of-fame-members-and-people-with-disabilities\/","title":{"rendered":"JCE delivers new ID to Cooperstown Hall of Fame members and people with disabilities"},"content":{"rendered":"Santo Domingo<\/strong>. – The Central Electoral Board (JCE<\/a>) continued this Monday with the delivery of the identity and electoral card in the new format to focused sectors of the National Council of Disability (CONADIS), as well as to members of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame.\n\nWithin the framework of the first stage of progressive, controlled, and limited deployment, the entity began with the capture of data and immediate delivery of the new identity and electoral card to Diego Castillos Yarull, Yahaira Pe\u00f1a Mota, Miguelina de Jes\u00fas Susana, Pablo Lemuel Taveras, within the framework of the Accessible ID Card Project for people with disabilities.\n\nMeanwhile, the identity and electoral card was delivered to the members of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame Juan Marichal, the first Dominican to enter the Hall of Fame, Pedro Mart\u00ednez, Vladimir Guerrero and David Ortiz.\n\nIn the day’s delivery of the new identity and electoral card, the president of the JCE, Rom\u00e1n Andr\u00e9s J\u00e1quez Liranzo, the titular member and coordinator of the Inclusion Table Dolores Altagracia Fern\u00e1ndez S\u00e1nchez and the titular member Hirayda Marcelle Fern\u00e1ndez Guzm\u00e1n, as well as the institution’s board of directors, participated.\n\nAlso present were Benny Metz and Alexis Alc\u00e1ntara, president and executive director of the National Council on Disability (CONADIS), respectively, as well as representatives of the entity.\n\n\n

JCE reaffirms commitment to inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nJ\u00e1quez Liranzo highlighted that this activity is very satisfying because it fulfills one of the values of the JCE’s Institutional Strategic Plan: inclusion.\n\nHe indicated that the JCE, within the framework of the strategies implemented in the Accessible ID Project, is working to ensure that there are no barriers when citizens go to obtain their identity document.\n\nHe stated that through the Inclusion Table, coordinated by Dolores Altagracia Fern\u00e1ndez, and with the support of CONADIS, they will continue working to ensure that people with disabilities do not encounter those barriers, reiterating the call to citizens to attend the cedulation process by birthday month starting April 12.\n\n\n

He stated that the ID card is the gateway to full citizenship, to the exercise of civil and political rights and to inclusion.\n\nRafael Octavio Castillos thanked the JCE for his son Diego becoming the third person to receive the identity and electoral card, highlighting that, although progress has been made as a country, there is still much work to be done: “Not only for Diego, but for the representation of all the Diegos of the Dominican Republic who are on the autism spectrum.”\n\n\n
