We recommend reading:The accused of murdering Charlie Kirk asks to recuse the prosecution for conflict of interest<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\nThe Prosecutor’s Office charged Robinson with aggravated homicide for the shooting against the ultra-conservative activist on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem.\n\nIn total, Robinson faces seven charges, which also include an accusation of firing a firearm causing serious bodily injury, in which the Prosecution also alleged “aggravating factors” because it is believed that the defendant attacked Kirk “based on his political ideology and that he did so knowing that there were children present” who would witness the homicide.\n\nHe was also charged with obstruction of justice twice for moving and hiding the rifle and for getting rid of the clothes he was wearing when he fired.\n\n\n

The Defense’s Arguments<\/h2>\n\n\nSince the presentation of the charges, Gray has indicated that he will seek the death penalty against Tyler Robinson. In Tuesday’s hearing, the prosecutor maintained that he made that decision without any pressure, despite the fact that the President of the United States, Donald Trump; the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, and the governor of Utah, Spencer Cox, made public statements in favor of seeking the capital sentence.\n\n“The evidence gathered supports the charge of aggravated murder, and I believe that the death penalty is entirely appropriate in this particular case,” Gray testified.\n\n\n
