The previous record dated back to <strong>February 6, 1990<\/strong>, when in Miami the <strong>Naranjeros de Hermosillo<\/strong> defeated the <strong>Senadores de San Juan<\/strong> 20-8, for a total of 28 runs.\n\nThe marathon game, which lasted for <strong>4 hours and 10 minutes<\/strong>, was decided in the <strong>eighth inning<\/strong>, when the Dominican <strong>Marcos Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> hit a double with runners on base to drive in the 15th run for the Quisqueyan team. Subsequently, <strong>Gustavo N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/strong> hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the decisive 16th run.\n\nThe offensive was the protagonist throughout the night: <strong>Dominican Republic connected 16 hits<\/strong>, while <strong>Panama shot 18 hits<\/strong>, in a game full of alternatives and emotion until the last out.\n\nWith this victory, the Dominicans took a <strong>firm step towards qualifying for the semifinal series<\/strong>, improving their record to <strong>3-0<\/strong> in the tournament.\n\nThe victory went to &#8220;E.
