In addition, the creation of a web platform independent of RECAC, with a renewed visual identity, a regional digital library and a repository of relevant jurisprudence and resolutions of the competition authorities of the member countries.\n\nAmong other actions, the organization of the twentieth Central American Competition Forum, to be held in the Dominican Republic, is included, as well as the launch of the first RECAC 2026 Central American Competition Moot, an academic initiative aimed at training new generations of specialists in the field.\n\nThe Dominican management will also carry out the consolidation of the Central American Competition Bulletin and the presentation of the first RECAC Competition Yearbook, which will systematize the main regional advances and trends and will be presented within the framework of the 2026 Central American Competition Forum.\n\nUpon closing his intervention, V\u00e1squez Taveras emphasized that the defense of competition is an essential pillar for economic development and that regional cooperation is key to facing the current challenges of the markets. &#8220;We assume this Pro Tempore Presidency with the conviction that regional cooperation is the most effective way to strengthen our institutional capacities and amplify the impact of our policies,&#8221; he stated.\n\nWith the assumption of the Pro Tempore Presidency of RECAC, the Dominican Republic consolidates its commitment to regional economic integration, the strengthening of the Rule of Law, and the promotion of more transparent and competitive markets. This leadership projects the country as a regional actor committed to transparency, legal security, and consumer protection, fundamental elements to attract foreign investment and promote sustainable economic development.\n\nAbout RECAC\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Central American Network of Competition Authorities (RECAC) is the regional body that brings together the institutions responsible for the promotion and protection of competition in Central America and the Dominican Republic.
