The Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) began the sale of 1,730,000 pounds of chickens that will reach the population through the different programs executed by the official body.<\/p>\n
The information was provided by the director of the entity, David Herrera D\u00edaz, who explained that white meat will cost 55 pesos per pound.<\/p>\n
“We started receiving 32 containers of frozen chickens that will be sold whole in the Ruta Alimentaria programs, Mobile Bodegas, Producer Markets and in the fairs in which we plan to participate,” said the official.<\/p>\n
He maintained that the initiative is part of the projects carried out by the official entity, with a view to supplying food at affordable prices to the population.<\/p>\n
Similarly, he stated that with the sale of the product they also combat the speculation that may occur with the price of white meat.<\/p>\n
The director of Inespre explained that the sale of the nearly 2 million pounds of chickens is carried out thanks to the support they have received from President Luis Abinader, who, according to him, has been emphatic in pointing out the importance of selling food by eliminating intermediary prices.<\/p>\n
