“Parallel to this carnage, the kidnapping industry is experiencing a boom that paralyzes the very spirit of the population. Despite repeated announcements and the meager efforts of the Haitian National Police (HNP), kidnapping remains an insurmountable challenge for the institution,” the report indicates.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

These data reveal a concentration of deadly violence in the West of the country, specifically where the capital, Port-au-Prince<\/strong>, is located, which alone records 85.28%<\/strong> of the deaths nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\nThe departments of Centre and Artibonite follow, with 4.35% of the cases each, confirming the spread of insecurity beyond the capital.\n\nAlso, the humanitarian organization pointed out that the operational results of the Haitian National Police (HNP) “remain vague and very insufficient in the face of the magnitude of the disaster”.\n\n\n
