Arizona<\/strong>.\u2013 On Thursday, the FBI released new details about the man it identifies as a suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old woman missing since the end of January, and increased the reward to $100,000<\/strong> for information that leads to her location or the arrest of anyone involved in the case.<\/p>\n\n\nThe images recorded by the home’s doorbell camera show a man approximately 1.75 meters tall and of medium build, carrying a black “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack, the agency reported in a social media post on Thursday night.\n\n\u201cWe hope this updated description helps focus the leads we are receiving,<\/strong>\u201d the FBI indicated in the post.\n\nThe FBI indicated that it collected more than 13,000 leads since February 1st, the day Guthrie was reported missing, and the Arizona sheriff’s department received more than 4,000 calls in the last 24 hours.\n\n\n

Hours before her family noticed her absence, a camera installed on the porch recorded a person with a backpack, balaclava, long pants, jacket, and gloves.\n\n\u201cIt’s a tremendous amount of work<\/strong>\u201d, said Roberto Villase\u00f1or, former Tucson police chief. \u201cIn a situation like this, you can’t move forward without leads and the cooperation of the public,\u201d he maintained. \u201cThey processed the scene. But once that’s complete and exhausted, it’s difficult to move forward without additional information coming in.\u201d\n\n\n

Tens of thousands of clues<\/strong>
The case unfolded before a global audience that knew Savannah Guthrie as the host of the Today show and that, in the last two weeks, saw her as a desperate daughter searching for her mother.<\/p>\n\n\nThe disappearance sparked strong interest from amateur internet investigators, a show of support from President Donald Trump, and a series of special coverages, particularly by NBC, the network where Savannah Guthrie works. Even so, the investigation is progressing slowly and surrounded by questions.\n\nThe Pima County Sheriff and the FBI released phone numbers and a website to receive information.
