Santiago. \u2013<\/strong> President Luis Abinader led this Wednesday the delivery of the total renovation of the Casa de Arte INC., a work that rescues an emblematic cultural space with more than 40 years of deterioration and integrates it into the urban revitalization process promoted by the Government in the historic center of Santiago.<\/p>\n\n\nThe intervention was executed by the Presidential Commission for Provincial Development, led by \u00c1ngel de la Cruz, and included structural reconstruction and reinforcement, electrical and telecommunications modernization with underground cabling, facade restoration, roof and floor adaptation, as well as the functional reorganization of each area of the property.\n\nDuring the event, De la Cruz affirmed that the recovery of the House of Art is part of a strategic vision of the president to transform not only the infrastructure, but also the cultural heritage of the cities. He maintained that the historic center of Santiago is experiencing a “luminous” stage thanks to an investment policy that combines large mobility projects with the rescue of cultural spaces.\n\n\n

Renovated spaces and new cultural scenarios<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\nThe official explained that the building was found in critical condition, with leaks, obsolete electrical installations, and areas practically collapsed, despite having been the stage for great figures of Dominican and international art such as V\u00edctor V\u00edctor, Maridalia Hern\u00e1ndez, Juan Luis Guerra, Sonia Silvestre, Fausto Rey, and Compay Segundo.\n\nAmong the newly enabled areas are:\n\u2022 “Danilo de los Santos” exhibition hall.\n\u2022 “Marcelo Berm\u00fadez” auditorium.\n\u2022 Hall for plastic arts and academic training.\n\u2022 Commercial area for handicrafts, literary and musical works.\n\u2022 Bohemian space for artists.\n\u2022 “Zagu\u00e1n Cibae\u00f1o” open-air amphitheater.\n\nThe work is integrated into the recovery process of the historic center, which includes the intervention of Duarte Park, emblematic streets, and the creation of a small square dedicated to the Santiago carnival, consolidating the Benito Monci\u00f3n boulevard as a cultural and tourist axis.\n\n\n

City Hall Highlights Urban and Cultural Impact<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\nFor his part, Mayor Ulises Rodr\u00edguez valued the work as a decisive step to restore dynamism to the urban center, increase property values, and reactivate the cultural and family flow in the area.
