Barahona.\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The Minister of Culture, Roberto \u00c1ngel Salcedo, presented today in the provinces of Independencia and Barahona the campaign \u201cWe Dominicans Recognize Ourselves<\/strong>\u201d, with a message aimed at reaffirming Dominican identity and promoting the recognition, preservation, and projection of cultural identity from daily life, in a context marked by multiple influences and digital environments that affect the new generations.<\/p>\n\n\nThe agenda included two meetings, one in Jiman\u00ed and another in Barahona, both focused on the public presentation of the initiative and its sense of belonging: Dominican identity understood as a living expression that manifests itself in language, customs, shared codes, and spaces for coexistence.\n\n\n

In each locality, the discussion “The power of good words<\/strong>” was held, conceived as a prelude to community dialogue and collective reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also read: Roberto \u00c1ngel Salcedo starts The Power of Good Words<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nThat event was attended by students from the Maria Trinidad S\u00e1nchez High School.\n\nFollowing the aforementioned discussion, Salcedo led the formal presentation of the campaign “We Dominicans Recognize Ourselves”, which included the screening of an introductory audiovisual and the explanation of its concept as an invitation to recognize oneself in the other and assume an active commitment to culture.\n\nOn their side, the second activity took place at the Catholic Technological University of Barahona, where both the discussion and the exhibition and launch of the campaign were also carried out, with a notable influx of students.\n\nThese meetings were consolidated as scenarios for reflection on the way we communicate and its impact on social coexistence, in line with the institutional orientation of promoting respectful and constructive language.\n\nFor its part, the initiative was presented as the main announcement of the day: an effort to make visible the elements of collective memory and strengthen the sense of belonging, under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture to promote, safeguard and transmit cultural identity to future generations.\n\n\n
