{"id":500813,"date":"2026-02-23T22:48:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T02:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/the-electrical-system-covers-80-of-the-demand-after-national-failure\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T22:48:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T02:48:08","slug":"the-electrical-system-covers-80-of-the-demand-after-national-failure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/the-electrical-system-covers-80-of-the-demand-after-national-failure\/","title":{"rendered":"The electrical system covers 80% of the demand after national failure"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong> The Dominican electricity sector reported that the recovery process of the National Interconnected Electrical System (SENI) continues to advance steadily, following the operational event recorded in the morning. \n\nThrough the third bulletin issued on the night of this Monday, it is reported that the system supplies 80% of the demand, reflecting significant advances in the stabilization of the network and allowing the integration of new areas to the electrical service, expressed the Minister of Energy and Mines, Joel Santos.\n\nHe indicated that most of the national territory already has the electrical service restored, with new connected provinces including Hig\u00fcey, La Romana, Nagua, Saman\u00e1, Montecristi and Valverde Mao.\n\nThe Transmission System has already been restored, in most of these regions the substations are energized, it is only necessary for some power plants to complete the load increase process up to their nominal values.\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We recommend reading:<a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/nacionales\/servicio-electrico-recuperado-60\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Electricity service was restored by 60% after the failure that caused the blackout<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\nIt is highlighted that the southern zone was energized early on; among others, San Juan, Barahona, Azua, Ban\u00ed, San Crist\u00f3bal, Bonao, La Vega, Santiago, Northwest Line, Puerto Plata, San Francisco, as well as different sectors of the National District and San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, have the most electrified areas.\n\nSantos reported that the technical teams of the different entities in the sector remain deployed and working continuously until the total normalization of the service is achieved throughout the country.\n\nIt is recalled that Minister Santos has been in permanent session since the early hours of the morning with the other leaders of the sector, including the executive vice president of the Empresa de Transmisi\u00f3n El\u00e9ctrica Dominicana (ETED), Alfonso Rodr\u00edguez; the superintendent of Electricity, Andr\u00e9s Astacio; the executive director of the National Energy Commission, Edwards Veras; the president of the Unified Council of Electricity Distribution Companies (CUED), Celso Marranzini and the vice minister of Electric Energy, Ricardo Guerrero.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.
