\u201cToday we are not simply cutting a ribbon, today we are closing a long wait and opening a new future\u201d<\/strong>, expressed the president when leading the official act, accompanied by the first lady Raquel Arbaje, ministers, legislators, municipal authorities and representatives of the transport sector.<\/p>\n\n\nAbinader recalled that for years the residents of this area left their homes before dawn and returned late at night due to the prolonged traffic jams, uncertainty and the high cost of transportation. “Today Santo Domingo Oeste ceases to be far away; mobility ceases to be an obstacle and begins to be an opportunity<\/strong>“, he said.\n\nThe Metro Line 2C runs 7.3 kilometers from the Mar\u00eda Montez station to the entrance of Los Alcarrizos, connecting 14 densely populated communities along the Duarte highway, with five stations: Pedro Mart\u00ednez, Franklin Mieses Burgos, 27 de Febrero, Freddy Gast\u00f3n Arce and Pablo Ad\u00f3n Guzm\u00e1n.\n\n\n

He highlighted that the complete journey can be made in approximately 10 minutes between stations, which will allow a saving of up to two hours a day during peak hours for those who previously spent up to an hour and a half per journey.\n\n\u201cTwo hours returning home, to rest, to study and to share with the family<\/strong>,\u201d underlined Abinader, while highlighting that users will be able to reduce their transportation expenses by up to 60%, which translates into greater savings capacity and stability for working families.\n\nThe president emphasized that this work is not just an infrastructure project, but a concrete response to a real need, and a demonstration that when the State listens, plans, and perseveres, it can transform people’s lives.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
