As of this Tuesday, 3,811 infections were reported, of which 901 were diagnosed in the last week. More than half of the cases, 2,094 (57%), are concentrated in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the capital of the department, and there are confirmed diagnoses in another 31 municipalities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\nThis situation has led to the issuance of a red health alert on February 9th in Santa Cruz and the intensification of prevention measures focused primarily on eliminating mosquito breeders that transmit the virus and on fumigation campaigns.\n\nAccording to the latest report from the Departmental Health Service, there are currently 37 patients hospitalized, eight of whom are in a serious state of health. During this season, the death of four people infected with the virus was also recorded.\n\n\n
\n“Strikes have been affecting the population since last year.
