Who will Bridgerton S5 be about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\nThe season 4 of Bridgerton<\/em><\/strong> left the field ready for two key characters to lead the next installment. On the one hand, there’s Eloise,<\/strong> who since the first season has been skeptical of marriage and firm in her refusal to be courted. However, in the most recent episodes we have seen an evolution in her stance and little by little she seems more open to meeting new people and rethinking her own convictions.\n\nOn the other hand, there’s Francesca,<\/strong> whose story took a painful turn after becoming a widow this season. At the same time, the series has sown several hints that point to a possible romance with Michaela Stirling,<\/strong> the cousin of her late husband, which would mark a new emotional chapter for the character.\n\n\n

Faced with that, showrunner Jess Brownell <\/strong>confessed that, although she doesn’t want to be too obvious about who will be the next protagonist, she did leave clear clues for the viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the order in which the stories of\u00a0Eloise and Francesca,\u00a0<\/strong>will be adapted is still unknown, it is confirmed that both will lead seasons 5 and 6. Eloise,<\/strong> to everyone’s surprise, replies that she enjoys weddings, a statement that contrasts with her historical anti-romantic stance. Francesca,<\/strong> on the other hand, assures that she already lived her \u201cgreat love\u201d and that \u201conce was enough\u201d,<\/strong> making it clear that she is still going through her mourning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the series were to follow the original order of Julia Quinn’s<\/strong> novels, the fifth season would adapt To Sir Phillip, With Love<\/strong>, focusing on the story of Eloise.<\/strong> In the book, she begins a relationship with Sir Phillip Crane,<\/strong> widower of Marina Thompson.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\nAlthough Sir Phillip<\/strong>, played by Chris Fulton, <\/strong>has already appeared in the series, Eloise<\/strong> still doesn’t know him formally and Marina<\/strong>, played by Ruby Barker, <\/strong>is still alive in the television adaptation.\n\nOn the other hand, Francesca’s arc is based on When He Was Wicked, the sixth novel in the saga.
