Currently, the occupation of the industrial infrastructure reaches 94%, reflecting the dynamism and confidence of the business sector.\n\nThe institution headed by Rafael Cruz Rodr\u00edguez manages 19 free trade zones, five industrial parks for MSMEs, an industrial district, and a park under special administration, with a presence in 18 provinces of the country, directly impacting territorial development and the generation of economic opportunities.\n\nBoosting infrastructure and new investments\n\n424 ships and industrial premises are managed, of which 398 are occupied and 248 companies are actively operating. In addition, 52 new lease applications, 11 new contracts and 27 renewals were registered, as well as the recovery of 20 ships through legal processes.\n\nAmong the most relevant strategic projects, the reactivation of the Quisqueya Free Zone in San Pedro de Macor\u00eds stands out, where Invema will be installed, considered the largest and most modern recycling plant in the Caribbean and Central America, under a public-private partnership scheme that exceeds US$50 million in investment.\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>You can also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/ab.deultimominuto.net\/economia\/proindustria-inicia-construccion-de-verja-perimetral-del-parque-industrial-de-canca-la-piedra-con-inversion-de-rd60-millones-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proindustria begins construction of perimeter fence of the Canca la Piedra Industrial Park with an investment of RD$60 million<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\nIn <strong>San Juan de la Maguana, new industrial buildings were inaugurated, bringing the operational structures of the park to five, with investments exceeding RD$271 million<\/strong>. Likewise, funds were transferred for the construction of two additional new buildings, projecting more than 1,200 direct jobs in the Southern region.\n\nThe recovery of the Bayaguana Free Zone was also finalized, formalized through Presidential Decree 594-25, as well as the sustained strengthening of the La Vega park, which today exceeds 5,000 direct jobs. In Hato Mayor, three new industrial buildings are being built with an investment of RD$140 million, while the Ban\u00ed Free Zone is undergoing a comprehensive process of relaunching and structural modernization.\n\nIn terms of services to the productive sector, Proindustria managed 278 new industrial registrations and 1,069 renewals, as well as 168 industrial qualification processes between new and renewed, exceeding 1,500 administrative procedures.\n\nTraining has also been a key focus, with 52 training sessions, 1,824 people trained, 1,993 technical assistances, and 1,223 companies advised. Furthermore, two B2B business rounds were held, benefiting 139 companies, strengthening production chains.\n\nIn the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, the institution recognized 23 companies and institutions for their innovative practices and awarded 15 recognitions to industrial entrepreneurs, including special awards for job creation, technological level, and competitiveness.\n\nSimilarly, execute the DR-T1304 project, funded by IDB Lab and the European Commission with an investment of US$1.38 million, focused on industrial incubation and acceleration, with a projection of benefiting 400 entrepreneurs.\n\nThe 2025\u20132028 Institutional Strategic Plan was approved, the first Citizen Commitment Charter was implemented, and 98% compliance was achieved in transparency indicators.
