According to initial reports, the incident left two dead and 18 injured. The fatalities were identified as <strong>Collen Fullerton, 67 years old, and Kym Lafantasie, 57,<\/strong> who were traveling with a group of approximately 20 tourists.\n\nPreliminary information indicates that the vehicle may have skidded while traveling at high speed on that section of the road, which connects important tourist destinations in the country. The passengers had arrived in the Dominican Republic through Punta Cana International Airport and were heading to hotels in <strong>Juan Dolio, Boca Chica and Santo Domingo.<\/strong>\n\nAfter the accident, the injured were distributed to different medical centers, where they have received assistance coordinated by the provincial authorities.
