There, he reaffirmed his commitment to the work and assured that he will continue to manage for it to be included in the government’s priorities.\n\n\n

\u201cThis road is an urgent need. Only the president can make it happen, and we trust that he will hear this call,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nCommunity members denounced that the abandonment of the road, without significant intervention since 2003, has caused the collapse of public transport and has isolated multiple localities.\n\nRoberto Vald\u00e9s, president of the Yagua neighborhood council, highlighted that this road connects important communities such as El Vig\u00eda, Jagua, Los Jovillos, Batey Yagua, La Maya and Najayo, being a strategic route for the province.\n\n\n

“We are talking about a key road that serves as a link between several communities, but today it is practically impassable,” he stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe situation directly impacts the local economy, which is primarily based on agricultural and livestock production. According to residents, thousands of liters of milk and other products are generated daily that cannot be marketed efficiently due to the poor condition of the road.\n\nFurthermore, they denounced that the precariousness of the road limits access to essential services such as the 9-1-1 emergency system and school transportation, forcing citizens to pay between 400 and 500 pesos to travel to nearby areas such as Guanuma, Don Juan and the municipality of Yamas\u00e1 itself.\n\nAfter more than 40 years of waiting, the community members made a direct call to the President of the Republic to instruct the Ministry of Public Works to execute this work, considered vital for the development and well-being of the entire area.\n\nBy: “Jonatan Contreras”\n\n\n
